Burberry Backs The DNRC - Christmas Campaign Celebrates Partnership

With the construction of the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC) well underway, the DNRC is delighted that British luxury brand Burberry is celebrating its partnership with the project as part of its festive campaign.

The DNRC will be a remarkable facility, providing the best possible care and clinical rehabilitation for seriously wounded members of the Armed Forces and the nation.  Construction has started on the site, which is in the East Midlands.  Once opened in 2018, the DNRC will provide neurological and complex trauma care and a full suite of rehabilitative facilities together on one site, bringing benefits that will make it unique in the world.

The DNRC charity is actively calling for help and support from business, and the general public at large to complete the build, with a two-year national fundraising campaign targeting a total of £300M by mid 2018.

More than two thirds of the money has already been raised from major donors.

Holly Butcher, Director of Fundraising at the DNRC, said:

“It’s fantastic to have the backing of a global brand such as Burberry.  We’re delighted that Burberry’s festive campaign celebrates its significant commitment to the creation of the Defence and National Rehabilitation Centre.  We hope that highlighting this support will raise greater awareness of the project and encourage more people to get behind the DNRC and help make it happen.

“We are well over two thirds of the way to our £300M target but we need help to complete the job. Every donation made will help transform lives.  We have a remarkable opportunity to create one of the most advanced clinical rehabilitation centres in the world, here in the UK.  It is something to feel proud of as a country and something that everyone can get behind.”
