Consulting on designs for the National facility

Outline planning consent for the National facility was granted in 2013, with the intention to build on a site in the north-west corner of the Stanford Hall Estate in an area known as ‘The Lings’.

This is close to but at the same time separate from the Defence facility, achieving the benefits which have always been envisaged by the DNRC programme.

Now, we are consulting on ‘Reserved Matters’ – we intend to submit an application to Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) in the Autumn.

Before doing so, we are sharing our design proposals and would be interested to hear people’s views on them via a specific consultation for the National facility.

With the principle of development already agreed, we are consulting on aspects of the building layout, design, landscaping and other design elements.

This consultation is specifically to invite views which can help us to refine or adjust the designs before we submit the Reserved Matters application.
