Progress moves DNRC planning proposals closer to determination
The programme team is making good progress on the DNRC planning application with Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC).
For a major site with a rich heritage and a complex range of
regeneration requirements, it has been important to have an effective
dialogue with the wide range of parties involved – from English Heritage
and Natural England to Nottinghamshire County Council and the
Environment Agency. Time is being taken to get this right and the DNRC
programme team has welcomed the engagement it has had with all
interested parties.
Following the conclusion of these technical matters, RBC is
expected to confirm a timetable for decision-making on the application.
More news will be reported here. If approved, delivery of a DNRC at
Stanford will then require completion of the current major fundraising
initiative and a decision from Ministers as to whether the Government
wishes to proceed.
